AT THE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE CEPS 2ND INTRENATIONAL STAFF WEEK WAS HELD

From May 19 to May 23, 2024, the 2nd International Staff Week was held at University College CEPS- Center for Business Studies in Kiseljak, under the title: “Greener Minds, Global Goals: Advancing Sustainability at Universities.”
This event brought together academic staff from various higher education institutions from Spain (CIFP Universidade Laboral and Fomento de Centros de Enseñanza), North Macedonia (Euro College), Malta (Global College Malta), and Croatia (University of Applied Sciences “Lavoslav Ružička” in Vukovar and Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences), who arrived at CEPS through ERASMUS+ mobility.

At the beginning of Staff week , the participants were introduced to the University College „CEPS“.Afterwards, the guests presented the institutions they came from. Through a presentation on the project „ Understanding Sustainability in Higher Education“ and a workshop on the topic of Green Teaching, the guests gained a broader understanding of sustainability in higher education institutions. At the start of Staff week, the guests also visited a small solar power plant in Kiseljak.

As part of the International staff week, a visit to Fojnica was organized. The visiting academic staff, together with staff of CEPS, visited the Franciscan Monastery, which today have around 50,000 books. In addition to the monastery, the group also visited one of the most successful treatment and rehabilitation centers in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Reumal health rehabilitation center. The guests were first introduced to Reumal’s history through a short video, and afterward, together with the resort’s management, visited the departments for kinesitherapy, electrotherapy, and hydrotherapy.

The participants also attended the 6th International Student Conference titled “Sustainable Innovations and the Green Transition”, organized by CEPS in cooperation with partners and coorganizers. At the end ofInternational staff week, the guests also visited the FC Željezničar stadium. Organizing international events brings together people from across Europe and the world, enabling the exchange of experiences and the advancement of international practices. Events like these reaffirm the importance of international cooperation in education and open the to new projects and partnerships.
