IMPLEMENTED ERASMUS+ STUDENT INTERSHIP AT POLYTECHNIC OF IVANIĆ GRAD

As part of the ERASMUS+ mobility program, fourth year nursing student at CEPS Adna Škrijelj completed a two month internship at the Zagreb County Health Center in cooperation with the partner institution, Polytechnic of Ivanić- Grad. During the mobility, she had the opportunity to improve her professional knowledge and gain new practical experience in various areas of primary health care. The internship included work in several organizational units, with active participation in the daily activities of the health team. Adna shares her experience with ERASMUS+ mobility below:
„My Erasmus+ experience began on May 10, 2026, when I went to Ivanić-Grad, where I did my internship at the Ivanić-Grad Health Center. During my internship, I worked in several departments, including the general outpatient clinic, outpatient clinic, surgery, pediatrics, and gynecology.
I gained a lot of new knowledge and skills, such as measuring vital parameters, drawing blood, filling out referrals, reading laboratory results, dressing wounds, giving injections, placing catheters, and ECGs. With the support of my mentor, I had the opportunity to independently perform the above procedures. I especially liked working in the outpatient clinic and pediatrics, where I participated in baby and child care, weighing babies, measuring head circumference, and performing routine examinations.
I am very satisfied with this experience and am glad that I had the opportunity to participate in the ERASMUS+ program. I believe that the knowledge and practical skills I have acquired will be of great benefit to me in my further education and future work. To all I would recommend to my colleagues to take advantage of the ERASMUS+ mobility opportunity, as it provides valuable experience and the opportunity for professional development."
