IMPLEMENTED ERASMUS+ STUDENT MOBILITY WITH “WSB AKADEMIA” IN DĄBROWA GÓRNICZA (POLAND) - ERASMUS+ EXPERIENCE OF STUDENT DRAGANA KUSMUK

Student Dragana Kusmuk spent the summer semester through the ERASMUS+ student mobility program in Poland, at the higher education institution “WSB Akademia” in Dąbrowa Górnicza, where she attended courses specified in the Learning Agreement. Dragana is a third-year student in the Traffic Engineering (Road Traffic) study program. Her ERASMUS+ experience is shared in full below.
“During my Erasmus+ student exchange in Poland at WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza, I had the opportunity to spend five months in a completely new academic and cultural environment. My stay in Poland allowed me to experience a different approach to studying, gain new knowledge and experiences, and meet students from different parts of the world. The international environment at the university was particularly valuable, as I had the opportunity to communicate and collaborate with people from different cultures and backgrounds on a daily basis. In addition to the academic experience, the Erasmus exchange gave me the opportunity to learn more about Polish culture, traditions, and way of life. I also used my time in Poland to visit different cities, discover new places, and learn more about the country’s history and culture. I was particularly impressed by cities such as Katowice, Kraków, and Warsaw, as well as by the everyday life and atmosphere I experienced during my stay. Living abroad lso brought numerous challenges, but at the same time, it taught me to become more independent, responsible, and open to new experiences. I learned how to adapt more easily to unfamiliar situations, organize my responsibilities, and find my way in a new environment. Meeting people from different countries further broadened my horizons and showed me how valuable and interesting diversity can be. I consider the Erasmus+ exchange a very important experience in my education and personal development so far. In addition to the knowledge and experience I gained academically, I am returning from Poland with many wonderful memories, new friendships, and experiences that will remain meaningful to me in the future. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Erasmus+ programme, and I believe that this experience will be of great benefit to me both in my further education and in my future professional life. I would recommend this experience to every student because it provides an opportunity to step outside one’s comfort zone, see the world from a different perspective, and, at the same time, learn a great deal about oneself.”
