The Bodies of the Institution
The bodies of the College are: Administrative Board, the Senate and the Director
of the College. College can, where necessary, appoint other professional bodies.
The Administrative board bears responsibility for the “CEPS – Center for Business
Studies” Kiseljak. Administrative Board consists of seven members, four appointed
by the founder, and others appointed by the Senate. Senate appoints and dismisses
the members of the Administrative Board on a term of 4 years.
Administrative Board
The Administrative Board shall perform tasks set by law and this statute, and in
particular:
a) Gives opinions on the Statute of the College, and brings a general act on internal
organization and job classification and other acts in accordance with the law,
b) Decides on the establishment of other legal entities in accordance with the law
and Statute,
c) Establishes the financing and development plans,
d) Adopts the annual work program of the College on the proposal of the Senate,
e) Directs, controls and evaluates the work of the director in the field of financial
management,
f) Resolves issues related to the founder’s requests,
g) Decides on the use of funds more than 5000.00 KM
h) Decides on the employees objections on decisions of the College regarding their
rights, obligations and responsibilities of the
i) Shall submit at least once a year a business report to a founder
j) Brings the plan of investments of the College
k) Performs other duties as authorized by law and Statute.
Senate
College Senate shall perform the following functions:
a) Decides on the educational, scientific, artistic and professional activities,
b) Adopts the Statute of College, based on the opinion of the Administrative Board,
c) Adopts other regulations in accordance with the law and Statute,
d) Adopts curriculum and programs for undergraduate studies,
e) Elects Director,
f) Elects academic staff in accordance with the prior opinion of the Administrative
Board,
g) Makes decisions regarding the hiring and dismissing of College’s staff
h) Establishes scientific and research projects, determines the holders of these
projects and monitors their implementation,
i) Gives preliminary approval to the curriculum,
j) Formulates a book publishing plan and provides the resources for the realization
of the publishing plan,
k) Formulates proposals for new higher education establishment and research institutes,
centers and other institutions,
l) Decides on the conclusion of cooperation agreements with universities in Bosnia
and Herzegovina and abroad, establishes cooperation programs and determines contractual
obligations
m) Organizes conferences in the field of higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina
and presents significant results of scientific and researching activities gained
within the framework of College’s operation.
n) College Senate performs other tasks stipulated by law, the statutes and by Studying
regulation.
Director
Director is the College’s managing body.
Director corresponds for his work in the field of academic issues to the Senate
and to the Administrative Board. In carrying out of these functions he is assisted
by the Secretary General and assistants.
Director performs the tasks set by law, and in particular:
a) Manages and represents the College,
b) Organizes and manages the work of the College and is responsible for the legality
of work,
c) Adopts individual acts in accordance with the law and Statute,
d) Proposes to the bodies of the College performance improving measures,
e) Proposes to the Administrative Board the measures for effective and legitimate
functioning of the College,
f) Proposes basic plans of operation and development of the College,
g) Proposes to the Administrative Board the internal tasks organization and systematization,
h) Implements the decisions of the Board and other bodies of the College,
i) Decides on the use of funds to the amount determined by Statute, and above this
amount based on the special authorization of the Administrative Board,
j) Decides on the rights, obligations and responsibilities of employees
k) Gives the report to the Administrative Board regarding the financial operations
of the College,
l) Participates in the work of BiH Rectors' Conference,
m) Signs the College documents and contracts concluded by the College,
- Performs other duties in accordance with law and the College Statute.
In the event of his absence or longer non-performance of these duties, Director
is replaced by its assistant with all the powers of directors.
