C.R.A.S.E.
The CRASE program is taught in schools, institutions, companies to inform,
prepare and train individuals to take the necessary steps to AVOID the
dangerous environment, DENY the attacker the chance to commit harm, and
DEFEND in place where all other options are exhausted. The course also
teaches basic first aid / trauma / life-saving skills required to sustain
the injured prior to the arrival of medical professionals.
The CRASE course prepares participants to:
· Understand civilian behavior during active shooter incidents
· Teach key safety principles such as Avoid, Deny, Defend
· Deliver standardized presentations and community trainings
· Tailor examples to local settings and needs while maintaining
program integrity
Upon successful completion, each participant will be certified to deliver
CRASE training in their local communities, creating a sustainable and
locally driven network of trainers.
CRASE program is a dedicated program of Texas State University ALERRT
training program (active shooter response for the law enforcement
officers). ALERRT (www.alerrt.org) has successfully delivered training
across all 50 states in the United States of America to over 400,000 first
responders. This training was accomplished through nearly 20,000 course
deliveries: https://www.avoiddenydefend.org/
CRASE train-the-trainers program consists of four (4) hours of active
instruction.
Successful graduates of the CRASE trainer program can continue to train
other individuals in the required steps and entice them to enroll in the
training program to help reach out those who need it.
The program is intended as a free community service program for the
end-users and we are currently beginning to implement it in Bosnia and
Herzegovina via accredited training center at University College CEPS –
