The University College "CEPS-Center for Business Studies" in Kiseljak has an active and successful collaboration with the company ADRIATIC METALS BH d.o.o. from Vareš. As a testament to this cooperation, this year, as well as last year in July, students of the Occupational Safety and Fire Protection program were given the opportunity to complete a student internship.

This opportunity was utilized by a third-year student of Occupational Safety (Work Safety), Derviš Nezić. During the internship, a visit to the Rupice mine was organized, where he was presented with the rules of conduct inside and outside the mine. Additionally, he participated in preparing a risk assessment, conducted research in the Safety Walk department, toured machines, and engaged in other activities.

Here is his experience in his own words:

"First of all, I would like to thank the management of the University College 'CEPS-Center for Business Studies' Kiseljak and the company Adriatic Metals BH for enabling the professional internship, as well as all employees at Adriatic Metals BH for their readiness to explain everything that interested me as a student. It is difficult to describe all impressions in a few sentences. The most important thing is that as students we had the opportunity to see the real application of our knowledge and the direction we have chosen. The real sector, where challenges are hidden, situations that are difficult to predict and which can have serious, sometimes unfortunately fatal consequences, prove to us the importance of occupational safety and the caution we must have because our families deserve to have us return to them healthy and alive. I recommend all students of Occupational Safety to apply next year and acquire the skills needed for work in the profession."

During this one-month internship, Derviš had the opportunity to learn from last year's internship participant, CEPS graduate Eldan Čolaković, who has since become a permanent employee at ADRIATIC METALS BH.

This internship allows students to gain valuable experience and practical skills essential for their future careers. Through such opportunities, students are better prepared for real-world challenges in the profession, thereby increasing their competitiveness in the job market. It is important to note, following last year's example, that there is a high possibility that students may get the chance to join the Adriatic Metals BH team permanently.

The University College CEPS Kiseljak is a place where valuable knowledge and experience are gained through active and successful collaborations with renowned companies. Therefore, we invite you to enroll in the Occupational Safety and Fire Protection study program and take advantage of the many opportunities offered during your studies. Through our programs, internships, and industry collaborations, you will be better prepared for all the challenges that await you in your future career.
