CEPS STAFF AND STUDENTS ATTENDING WEBINAR ON SUSTAINABLE GREEN STANDARDS IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Univesity College “CEPS - Center for Business Studies” Kiseljak teaching staff and students, along with exchange students participating in the Erasmus+ program, had the opportunity to attend the webinar Integrating Sustainability Considerations and Standards for a Just Green Transition, which was held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 11:00 via the Zoom application. The organizers of this seminar were the Regional Challenge Fund, with support from the Western Balkans 6 Chamber Investment Forum, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, and GIZ.
The aim of this event was to provide insight into how institutions can apply the sustainability standards of the European Union and to present the significant role that higher education and training play in the green transition. Participants in the online event had the opportunity to learn about effective strategies and success stories from the Southeast European region and the Western Balkans.
RCF (Regional Challenge Fund) has remained committed to supporting the development of “greener” educational programs and improving innovative teaching methodologies, thereby contributing to sustainable economic growth in the WB6 region. The main goal of the webinar was to explore best practices in sustainability. The webinar was attended by 160 participants, and experts from various fields presented their experiences.
The topics of the webinar included:
- What is green sustainability?
- Regulatory changes that need to be introduced.
- Advantages and disadvantages that may arise.
- How can we educate current and future generations about sustainability development?
In this way, the CEPS Kiseljak further supports sustainable transition, encourages sustainable green practices, and offers opportunities for the development and improvement of its staff and students in this area, thereby getting closer to achieving the goal of becoming a sustainable green higher education institution.
