On Thursday, September 7, 2023, a presentation of the Fairwork research report "Labour Conditions on Digital Platforms in Bosnia and Herzegovina" was held in Sarajevo. Fairwork research is a global project led by the University of Oxford and the Center for Social Sciences in Berlin. The research in Bosnia and Herzegovina was conducted by the Center for Development Evaluation and Social Research (CREDI) on eight (8) digital platforms.

The research results have shown that although the platform economy is significantly developed in Bosnia and Herzegovina, platform workers do not formally exist as a legal category, nor do they have legally regulated status. In other words, this category of workers is invisible in the country's labor legislation. As a consequence, working conditions and labor protections are inadequate, which also affects formal employment and results in a very low level of union organization.

Dr.sc. Nermin Palić, the head of the International Relations and Career Development Office at University College CEPS Kiseljak, also participated in the presentation. In this way, CEPS demonstrates its interest in monitoring the latest information in the field of economics and occupational health and safety. Furthermore, it encourages the consideration of issues that will enable the recognition of platform workers in legislation and ensure them the same rights as all other workers in the labor market in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
