KICK-OFF MEETING WITHIN THE ERASMUS+ RES-UNI PROJECT IN TÜRKİYE

From April 14 to 15, 2025, the Head of the Office for International Cooperation at the University College "CEPS – Center for Business Studies" Kiseljak, dr.sc. Nermin Palić, together with Office Coordinator Lecturer Stjepan Stanić, participated in the kick-off meeting held at Firat University in Elazig, Türkiye, within the framework of the Res-Uni project.
The main goal of the Research Universities (Res-Uni) project is to enhance the knowledge and skills of academic staff and students from higher education institutions in the Western Balkans in the fields of digital transformation, big data, and data management systems, as well as to share the experience of research universities under the mentorship of Firat University and the University of Applied Sciences "Alcide De Gasperi" (WSGE, Poland).
During their stay, CEPS representatives took part in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Firat University, where they had the honor of meeting the Rector, Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Göktaş, as well as the President of the Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK), Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar.
The meeting included discussions on the next steps within the work packages and the planning of activities to be implemented by partner institutions throughout the project’s duration.
The Res-Uni project, within the ERASMUS+ Capacity Building in Higher Education program, brings together a total of nine partners from Türkiye, Poland, Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, including:
- Firat University (Project Coordinator, Türkiye)
- WSGE University of Applied Sciences (Poland)
- University of Mitrovica (Kosovo)
- Barleti University (Albania)
- University of Bijeljina (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
- University College “CEPS – Center for Business Studies” Kiseljak (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
- Albanian University Center (Albania)
- Adriatic University Bar (Montenegro)
- University of Donja Gorica Podgorica (Montenegro).
As part of the visit, historical and cultural activities were also organized, including a trip to Lake Hazar and a visit to the historic town of Harput and its fortress, which is under UNESCO protection.
