Through the Erasmus+ programme, CEPS students have the opportunity to enrich their academic experience by spending part of their studies at partner higher education institutions across Europe. One such opportunity was a mobility period in Poland at WSB Akademia in Dąbrowa Górnicza, during which Minela Balija, a third-year student in the Transport (Road Transport) study programme, had the opportunity to experience a different academic and cultural environment, gain new knowledge and experiences, and establish connections with students from different countries.

Her ERASMUS+ experience is presented in full below::

My Erasmus experience in Poland was one of the most beautiful and valuable experiences I have had so far. From the very beginning, my first impressions of Poland, the university, and the people were wonderful. Everything was new and different to me, but it was precisely this diversity that made the entire experience even more interesting. I would especially like to highlight the university staff, who were very kind, approachable, and always willing to help from the very beginning. Their attitude made it much easier for me to adapt to the new environment and manage my academic responsibilities. One of the most beautiful aspects of my Erasmus experience was living in student accommodation. I had the opportunity to live with people from different countries and cultures, which made everyday life very interesting. I met many people from different parts of the world and, through spending time with them, learned much more than I had expected. Everyone had different habits, customs, lifestyles, and perspectives on the world. This diversity showed me how different we can be while still finding common ground, socialising, and building meaningful friendships. Erasmus trips and activities were another special part of my stay. Travelling around Poland and other European countries was very affordable, which allowed me to visit many places and discover new cities without spending a lot of money. Every trip brought a new story and a memory that I will cherish for a long time. In addition, the university organised various activities for Erasmus students. These were very well planned and gave us opportunities to get to know each other better, socialise, and spend time together. The most beautiful aspect of the entire Erasmus experience was precisely this diversity. Being surrounded by people from different cultures and countries allowed me to discover the world from a completely different perspective. I learned a great deal about other nations, their customs, traditions, and everyday lives. At the same time, I had the opportunity to present my own country and culture to people who perhaps had never had the opportunity to learn much about Bosnia and Herzegovina before. Erasmus gave me a great deal, both personally and academically. In addition to the knowledge I gained at the university, I improved my English language skills, particularly through everyday communication with people from different countries. I became more independent, open-minded, and confident, and I also learned to adapt more easily to new situations and environments. If I had the opportunity to choose again, I would go on Erasmus without hesitation. This experience gave me much more than new knowledge and travel opportunities; it gave me new acquaintances, friendships, memories, and a different perspective on the world. I will remember Poland as a place where I learned a great deal, but also as a place where I grew as a person and became richer for having had such a special life experience.

The experience Minela brought back from Poland is another example of the value of international mobility and the opportunities that the Erasmus+ programme offers to students. University College "CEPS-Center for Business Studies" Kiseljak is committed to providing its students with as many such opportunities as possible, enabling them to pursue part of their education in an international academic environment, experience different cultures, gain new knowledge and skills, and establish connections that can be valuable for their future academic and professional development
