The partner institution Centro Educativo Aloya from Spain organized the 1st International Staff Week from March 23 to 27. CEPS representatives were: Lecturer Semir Oglečavac, Lecturer Dario Marušić, and Lecturer Stjepan Stanić.
The program began with the introduction of participants and institutions, followed by a tour of the institutions building. In addition to CEPS representatives, professors from Cape Verde, Congo, Albania, and Montenegro also attended the event. Each institution presented the activities conducted at their institutions, with a special focus on practices within health studies.
During the Staff Week, a lecture on the topic “Precision Medicine in Psychiatry” was held by Carlos Spuch, a researcher at the Galician Institute for Health Research. Participants also had an organized visit to Santiago de Compostela, where they visited the Center for Research in Molecular Medicine and Chronic Diseases, the cathedral, and the old town.
The teaching staff also visited the Cíes Islands National Park, and on the last day, a conference on “Immunotherapy: Past, Present and Future” was held. The Staff Week concluded with a ceremonial awarding of certificates to the participants.
Participation in such events, exchanging contacts, and networking with other higher education institutions in Europe and worldwide significantly contributes to strengthening international cooperation and enhancing educational and scientific activities at CEPS.
