As part of the ERASMUS+program, University College "CEPS - Center for Business Studies" in Kiseljak hosted a student from Spain during the summer semester of the academic year 2024/2025.Student Ángel Arroyo, from the partner institution CIPFP Luis Suñer Sanchis, completed an internship at the International Relations Office and Career Development at CEPS. During his mobility, Ángel had the opportunity to actively participate in the organization of international events, attend guest lectures and trainings, as well as meet exchange students and professors from different parts of Europe. In addition to his academic experience, he also used the time to explore the culture and visit various cities and landmarks of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At the end of his stay, Ángel shared his experience:

„Taking part in the Erasmus programme at CEPS Kiseljak in Bosnia and Herzegovina has been one of the most enriching experiences of my life. From the moment I arrived, everything was easy. I was warmly welcomed by the university staff (Stjepan and Nermin), who made sure I felt comfortable right away. I came with excitement, but also with some uncertainty, as it was my first time living away from home for an extended period. However, thanks to initial support, I quickly adapted to life in Bosnia. As the weeks went by, I found my own rhythm and learned to manage all aspects of daily life.

One of the greatest lessons I take from this experience is independence. Living in another country, far from my family, encouraged me to be an independent person. These were all new experiences for me, but incredibly valuable, helping me develop essential life skills. Life in Bosnia was easy and peaceful. The cost of living is low, which allows me to live comfortably without financial stress. Kiseljak is a small but welcoming town, safe and quiet ideal for focusing on studies . CEPS also offered a friendly and international atmosphere, making the academic experience both positive and engaging .

One of the highlights of my ERASMUS+ mobilitywas the freedom to travel. Thanks to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s strategic location in the Balkans, I had the opportunity to visit neighboring cities like Sarajevo or Mostar. Each trips brought new cultural insights and unforgettable moments that enriched my overall experience. Also I visited other countries like Croatia and England. Thanks to CEPS, I also had the opportunity to visit more places, for example the largest manufacturer of polystyrene company in Bosnia or the one of the most famous thermal spa centre of the country located in Fojnica. These visits gave me a broader understanding of the local business environment and helped me learn how the professional world functions in a growing economy like Bosnia’s.

In conclusion, my Erasmus experience at CEPS Kiseljak exceeded all expectations. I leave Bosnia with new friendships, unforgettable memories, and a deep sense of gratitude for everything I’ve learned and lived through during this unique chapter of my life. „
