Thanks to the cooperation with the partner institution Tempulli College, CEPS Kiseljak provided its students with the opportunity to apply for the prestigious EPTS Summer School 2025. Following a selection process conducted by the WU Vienna University of Economics and Business, student Naida Mutapčić was chosen to participate. The summer school was held partly online and in person in Vienna and focused on the topic of barrier-free and accessible public transport. Through interactive workshops, field visits, and team projects, participants developed innovative solutions for inclusive mobility. Naida had the opportunity to collaborate with students and experts from various countries and gained practical knowledge and experience that will be valuable in her further education and professional development. By participating in this program, she earned 3 ECTS credits, while accommodation and transportation were covered by the organizers.

Below is the student’s personal reflection:

My name is Naida Mutapčić, and I am a fourth-year student of Road Transport at the University College CEPS – Center for Business Studies in Kiseljak. In July 2025, I had the opportunity to participate in the summer school Barrier-Free Public Transport (BFPT) in Vienna, organized by WU Vienna University of Economics and Business. The program focused on the concept of accessible, inclusive, and cross-border public transport in Europe, with special attention to the needs of people with disabilities. During the intensive week of lectures, workshops, and field visits (including a study trip to Bratislava, Slovakia), I worked alongside students from different European countries on real-life challenges of inclusive transport planning. We had the opportunity to learn directly from experts and people with disabilities, analyze existing best practices, and design our own solutions to mobility barriers. The summer school enabled me to gain a deeper understanding of the difficulties vulnerable groups face in everyday movement, as well as insights into the importance of international cooperation in achieving sustainable and equitable mobility for all. I would especially highlight the practical workshops and teamwork, which helped me develop my professional and intercultural skills. This experience has further strengthened my commitment to improving urban transport and inspired me to think of accessibility as a key criterion in every transport solution.

I sincerely thank the CEPS for enabling me to apply for this international summer school. Although the competition was high, with many students from different countries applying, I had the honor of being selected as one of the participants. This recognition is a great motivation for me to continue building my knowledge and contributing to the development of accessible transport in Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond.”
