Tarik Mešić, a second-year information technology student at University College CEPS in Kiseljak, spent the past semester on an international student exchange in Spain. He spent five months at a partner institution - the University of Seville. This experience gave him the opportunity to gain new knowledge, meet a different academic and cultural environment, and expand his professional and personal perspectives. His experience looks like this:
"The ERASMUS+ student exchange in Seville was a true lifetime trip, not only academically, but also through the wealth of experiences I gained outside the classroom. The city enchanted me with its architecture, flamenco music and incredible atmosphere, but what made it all the more special were the trips around Spain.
In Malaga, I enjoyed sunny beaches and a relaxed Mediterranean spirit. Cadiz welcomed me by the sea, an old town full of history, and sunsets that remain in my memory. The trip to Tenerife was a very beautiful experience—volcanic landscapes, exotic nature, and a completely different pace of life.
During my stay, I also met many people from all over the world—from Brazil to Norway, from Japan to Italy. Every conversation, dinner, or outing with these people broadened my understanding of different cultures and showed how connected we really are, regardless of language or background.
Each of these places brought a new story, new acquaintances, and lessons. Thanks to this experience, I not only improved my knowledge, but I also learned how important it is to be open to the world and people. Erasmus in Spain didn't just broaden my horizons—it made me richer on the inside."
