Nejra Gutić, a second-year student of the Information Technologies study programme at CEPS, spent the summer semester of the 2025/2026 academic year at the University of Seville as part of the ERASMUS+ student mobility programme. This exchange was made possible through the cooperation between University College “CEPS – Centre for Business Studies” Kiseljak and the University of Seville. Below, we present her Erasmus+ experience in full:

My Erasmus+ experience in Seville was one of the most beautiful and significant experiences of my university studies. Living in Spain gave me the opportunity to discover a new culture, make new friendships, broaden my horizons, and step outside my comfort zone. From the moment I arrived in Seville, I felt that this would be a period I would remember for a long time. I had a particularly positive experience at the Universidad de Sevilla. The professors were highly professional, approachable, and fair towards us exchange students. The lectures were engaging and of high quality, while the teaching methods allowed me to gain new knowledge and, at the same time, experience a different educational system. In addition to the academic experience, the university also gave me the opportunity to meet a large number of students from different countries. Through everyday socializing, I made many new friends and had the opportunity to learn about different cultures, traditions, and ways of life. One of the most beautiful aspects of my Erasmus experience was travelling. During my stay in Seville, I visited numerous cities across Spain, as well as several cities in Portugal. Each journey was special in its own way and gave me the opportunity to explore different parts of the Iberian Peninsula, their history, architecture, traditions, and people. The festivals and events I attended in Seville hold a particularly special place in my memories. I had the opportunity to experience Semana Santa, one of the city's most famous religious and cultural events, followed by the Feria de Abril, which showcased the energy, traditions, and joy of Seville, as well as the Romería Festival. Attending these events allowed me not only to learn about Spanish culture through everyday life, but to truly experience it. Another special moment during my stay was celebrating Spain’s victory at the World Cup together with the people of Seville. The atmosphere in the city was incredible, and the celebrations and sense of togetherness I witnessed remain particularly memorable to me. Living in another country also taught me a great deal about myself. I became more independent, responsible, and confident in making decisions. I had to organize my daily life independently, take care of my responsibilities, and adapt to a new environment. For this reason, I consider Erasmus+ to have been not only an academic experience, but also an important life lesson. Seville is a city that truly captured my heart. It is full of history, beautiful architecture, tradition, and vibrant life. Almost every day, I had the opportunity to discover something new about the city, its streets, landmarks, and culture. Because of everything I experienced, Seville became much more than just a place where I spent part of my studies. Overall, my Erasmus+ stay in Seville brought me knowledge, friendships, travels, new experiences, and memories that I will cherish for a long time. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of this programme and sincerely hope that one day I will have the chance to visit Seville again – a city that has become a very special place for me.

Through the Erasmus+ programme, University College “CEPS – Centre for Business Studies” Kiseljak provides students with numerous opportunities for international mobility, acquiring new knowledge, and developing intercultural competences.
