University College “CEPS – Center for Business Studies” Kiseljak has developed new study programmes in Disaster Risk Management (DRM) within the Erasmus+ project SKILL2SUSTAIN – Boosting Digital and Green Skills for a Resilient and Sustainable Western Balkan Society. As part of the programme development process, curricula for the new study programmes were developed in both Bosnian and English, in line with the results and recommendations developed through WP2 of the SKILL2SUSTAIN project. The development process also involved EU partners, ensuring the integration of international expertise and contemporary approaches to disaster risk management.
The new study programmes comprise 180 ECTS (three-year programme) and 240 ECTS (four-year programme) and are aimed at educating professionals in disaster risk prevention, risk assessment and management, preparedness, response, and post-disaster recovery. The programmes incorporate contemporary approaches and digital tools relevant to risk management, as well as the green and digital transition. CEPS has also obtained an approval from the Ministry of Education, Science, Youth, Culture and Sports of the Central Bosnia Canton for the implementation of the new study programmes, officially enabling their launch.
Through the development and implementation of these study programmes, CEPS further strengthens its educational and professional role in the fields of societal resilience, sustainable development, and disaster risk management, contributing to the education of professionals equipped to respond to contemporary challenges and the needs of institutions, businesses, and society.
